Dispensing Doctors

The Surgery is a Dispensing Practice. Patients who live more than 1.6km from a pharmacy can choose to pick up their medication from our Dispensary rather than a Pharmacy.

EPS is now available at the surgery for you to Nominate the Pharmacy of your choice should you choose to not be a dispensing patient with us .

Repeat Prescriptions

red_orange_pillsIf you are taking regular medication, your Doctor may arrange for you to receive your medication without the need for an appointment each time. A record of your medications is stored on computer with the date the Doctor wants to review the situation. When this date has expired the computer will print a reminder for you to make an appointment.

The Dispenser may advise you to make an appointment before any further prescriptions can be issued.

You may request your prescription by handing in your repeat slip or by leaving a message on the answer machine; please remember to speak clearly leaving your name, address, telephone number and list of all items required.

Patients can also order prescriptions via the on-line service. This service is available 24 hours per day.

Every effort will be made to have your medications ready for you within three full working days, but occasionally we encounter problems beyond our control i.e. difficulties with the suppliers. Please be patient with our staff, they endeavour to help

In an effort to cut down on medicine wastage the GPs have made the decision to no longer allow patients to order medication by asking for "all my repeats" . You will be required to ask for each item you need that month by name.

Thank you for your help in this matter.
